hello,
i've never posted before so i hope i can explain my problem well enough...
we have a 4 single family dwelling subdivision of which one house has been built and the other 3 are in the design process. the current revit file we are working originally contained the site plan, topo and first house construction drawings...now two other houses have been started on in the file and we realize that this will be too big of a file when all is said and done.
the goal is to have the capability to show the whole subdivision in 3D with all 4 houses and site work, but be able to work on the construction drawings for permits for each house in individual files. we understand the concept of the central file and linking but not sure how to make it happen, especially when two of the remaining houses are in process in the current file and the construction drawings for the first house are also in this file.
how do we break out the houses and how to we link them back to be able to show a comprehensive site plan with all four dwellings? is that possible? finding information for this has proven a challenge... hope someone can help.
thanks!
