    All,

Is there a portable viewer for AutoCAD drawings?

    Regards,

I cannot install AutoCADWS on an external harddisk and go to someone who don't have AutoCAD or a viewer installed on his/her computer.

ahaa! that kind of Portable (PortableApps.com) great site,

not that I've ever come across, though it would be handy. Your best bet is to hope that the other party has Windows7 installed, and publish the drawings you want them to see as .dwfx. Win7 can (supposedly) natively view a dwfx.

AutoCAD WS is an online app. No need to install. Runs in any modern browser. Also there is a iPhone/iPad version and soon an Android version.

I am aware of the AutoCAS WS, but sometimes you are on locations where there is no WIFI, no internet connection at all. The only thing you have is a portable external drive with AutoCAD files and someone who don't have AutoCAD or a viewer installed on his/her computer.

Ah, got ya. Doing a quick google search popped up a couple, but I don't know if they are safe. Hadn't heard of them before and only seeing them on download sites that I don't know (so don't trust).
