    Default Notes to sheet

See attached for sample of NOTES TO SHEET. How can I add tags to the plan views which coordinate with these notes - hexagon with number in it pointing to an item in the view.

First, you will need to create a text file using note pad and copy all your numbering and notes like your thumbnail. Then you can link that file using Keynote Settings under the Annotation tab. Then, select User Kenote, select the location on your plan, then your schedule should pop up and you can assign which number to use for that keynote. You will also need to create a Annotation Family that represents the hexagon tag you would like to use. Hope this helps. If not, just go to Annotation - Tags - User Keynotes - and hit F1 for help.

Thanks for that answer. I will try it out. For now I think I am going to use notes on the drawing with leaders. This project is so small, I would not be able to get it done very quickly taking time to use my old bubbled notes system. It is more a factor of time than money.

You could still use manual keynotes to get to a keynote list on the side of the sheet. The notes on the side of the sheet can be simple text in each sheet. Or what we've started to do was to create a keynote list for each floor as a legend. Then each plan area for that floor uses the same set of keynotes. Not automatic, but simple and fast.

Ok, so then how do you key from the drawing to those notes on the sheet?

I just manually place a dumb tag (manual keynote) in the view with an arrow that points to the object. I enter in the keynote number I wish to reference and I place the legend (with the master list of keyed notes) on the sheets that need them.

Let me take my stupidity to its logical conclusion. What is a manual keynote? All the keynotes presented to me require selection from a predetermined key values and keynote text. I want to be able to type in a number that matches the note number
