Default Cannot Edit Text Height in Table Style

I am creating tables in ACAD 2011 that are linked to an Excel spreadsheet. When I was importing the table data from a .csv file, the text was the right height and everything looked great. Then I changed my source file to an .xls file because the text colour wasn't saving in the .csv file, and now my tables are coming in teeny tiny.

I tried to edit my table style, I even created a new style, and the text height changes work when I create a new table in the drawing, but any tables that are linked to the .xls file are super small and nothing I do to the table style ("template") seems to help.

Where can this text height be edited properly, besides me having to enlarge each and every table separately??

AutoCAD help is USELESS in this case! Gah!

    Thanks in advance.

Can you just select all the cells and modify them via the properties box? I havent used linked tables in a while, but I remember there being a checkbox for not translating styles, that way once the style is set in AutoCAD, it wont change it just because you make a modification to the original table.

It seems that I CAN do that, thank you. It is tedious. however, since I have many tables to insert and it would be good to know why changing from inserting .csv data to .xls data had rendered me incapable of setting my table parameters.

    Thanks for your help.

As to "why" -- CSV data is simply plain and simple text that has no formating of its own., just text strings separated by delimiters.

XLS spreadsheets are complete documents, and holdadditional information beyond row/colum & value in the cell -- print areas, cell heights, row widths, text style. and so on.
