Exclamation Does anyone know how to fix this problem with mental ray?

Everytime I try to render using 3ds Max Design 2011, my computer shuts down. The default renderer is mental ray. I've rendered before with this computer using other programs like Kerkythea ECHO 2008 and Vray, but this is the first time I encounter this problem (now with mental ray).
My computer works perfectly fine, as it is almost new (I bought it four months ago).
I know I'm not running out of memory, because I have a 8gb RAM, and the memory sticks are ok, according to Memtest86+.
I don't know if it may be an overheating problem (it reaches 82°C when rendering).
One more thing. I've noticed that this problem happens only when rendering a complex model or reflective/refractive textures/materials (such as glass, polished materials etc)

    Here are my PC Specs:

    Operating System
    MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
    CPU
    Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93GHz
    Wolfdale 45nm Technology
    RAM
    8.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 533MHz (7-7-7-20)
    Motherboard
    Hewlett-Packard 2AA2 (CPU 1)
    Graphics
    NVIDIA GeForce G210
    Hard Drives
977GB Western Digital WDC WD1001FAES-60Z2A0 (SATA)
    Optical Drives
    hp DVD A DS8A4LH
    RELCNC 16J0TAF SCSI CdRom Device
    Audio

Try rendering your scene with a material over ride. This will give you a clue.
If it renders with the over ride it is a material problem or a settings problem.

Tale the side cover off and place a large floor fan right into it. Turn your a/c low to make it as cold as you can. Then re-render and see if it makes any difference. That make help you see if it's heat.
