    Default New Printer

We got new printers in our network and they gave them all new names. Now my old drawings are not printing because the printer is not set.

    My question is,

Is there a way to set the printer to all the layouts at once? right now i go to each layout and modify in the page set up manager.

First off, go edit your template drawing(s) so that future drawings will have the correct page setup. Then at this point, you can import this pagesetup into each of your current layouts as you encounter them. Still a manual process though.

For a touch of automation see this post from Lynn Allen:

and if needed, TrueConvert is still available here.

No joke? I have to go page by page?

The new templates are all set and working fine. Its just older drawings where its not working. And right now I am working on a 50 page drawing. Was hoping i could find a way to select all and just change it once for the drawing set.

Edit your existing pagesetup to use the new printer, so even though your pagesetup is named HP1050 it will actually use Canon144, or whatever.

Also, to publish you don't need the new pagesetups in the drawings or layouts, use the pagesetup override and pick the new pagesetup for the new printers.
