    Smile Electrical Symbols

    Hello everyone...

I am using AutoCAD MEP 2011 and here is the problem I need assistance with. I inserted and connected my electrical switches in my drawing, then I xrefed the drawing into my sheet. In the sheet the original drawing comes in with the symbols smaller than the drawing. I have verify both drawings to have the same scale. Any ideas what could be. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Have a great day

    Hi Gio_2,

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the ACA 2011 - General forum to this one as I feel it will be better served here.

As to your question: I seem to remember having the same issue/problem in MEP 2008. We spent a long time with Autodesk support trying to fix it but I can't remember what we did to resolve the issue. I'll ask my coworkers to see if they remember what we did but in the meantime you may want to go to Autodesk support to see if you can find a resolution.

Are you using the devices from the correct catalog...devices from the imperial catalog into a drawing with imperial units? We had that problem on a previous project and it turned out we were using devices/parts from the imperial catalog in a drawing with metric units...apparently the difference between the units was causing a problem with scaling even though xref, model space, and view port were all the same scale.
