How would one go about joining a tread and a riser in a stair family? See attached stair .rvt
Sort of like a monolithic stair with a stepped underside!

Sorry is this a stupid question? Or is it not possible!
I don't think it's possible.
You could model the assembly as a single in-place family extrusion.
Once you create a tread thickness your going to get the lines... Your best bet is to use a fill region to show them as one material...
Or create a in-place component...but that won't show as a stair
Or use the linework tool to make the lines in between invisible.
