    Default zoom object problem

First off, I'm using AutoCAD LT 2012. That said, I have a problem with a particular drawing and the ZOOM, OBJECT command. I can zoom to windows, extents, etc. just fine, but when I go to ZOOM, and select OBJECT, then select my objects (or even if they're selected first) I don't get a closeup of the objects. Instead each object, has it's own arbitrary level of zoom, and it's not a rational zoom as far as I can tell. It doesn't even center on the items. Has anyone else seen this before? I can't figure out what's going on. And it's only on this one particular drawing. All the other drawings I've tried this zoom just fine to objects. Thanks for the help.

If it is as you note "only on this one particular drawing", as a test INSERT this file into a trouble-free empty template file of yours and see what it does and if that fixes it.

Nope, it's crazy in the new drawing after insertion as well. I tried it by exploding the block, and also by not exploding and trying within Block Editor.

Okay, so it ended up that the problem was one of size in distance. For some reason, objects' lower left "origin", so to speak, was hundreds of thousands of feet from true origin. I just selected all, cut it to the clipboard (Ctrl+X) and then pasted from the clipboard (Ctrl+V). After that, zooming to an object worked as it should. So, if anyone else has this problem, there's a possible solution.
