    Default MLEADER EDITING 2012

I am trying to left justify a leader which points to the right. In the process I need to fix the left point of the text and modify the text. Unfortunately when the text length changes is moves the text relative to the leader, and I need to spend large amounts of time re-aligning my detail sheets to put things back into left justification.

I there a way to get leaders to actually justify from a fixed point on the text and adjust the landing/leader to fit?

    thanks in advance

This is an old problem with MLeaders. At least there's the "Always Left justify" option in the ML-Style. But as you state, the text moves to adjust closer to the line when the line is to the right.

All I know of which allows fixing this is the MLeaderAlign command. At least you can align multiple leaders in one go. Though every time you edit one, you'll probably need to re-align it.

You might (just might) want to try the old leader command by typing "dim" "lea" etc..

    irneb,

mleaderalign is totally new to me. It certainly speeds up the adjustment process a ton, thanks.
    .

jaberwok - wow .. that is really old school leader there...

    Thanks guys for the tips.
