Shortcommings in Revit steel rebar modeling (Circular and Radial)

I have read several threads revolving about the fact tha revit is not so flexible in modeling rebar

I will give an example:

simple circular foundation of the reinforcement illustrated in the attached image

I found revit can not do that unless you try to pretend that you can by struggling with drafting tools only

also for circular it is so silly to make rings of what ever perimeter it was, where the longest bar you have is only 40 feet (12 meters), so you need more than one bar with overlaping the development length

I appreciate every contribution to give ideas

Not being a structural engineer but having done a few buildings in my time I'm wondering what are the reasons for laying out the rebar in this manner?
Is it a matter of less material used? Easier analysis? Specific loading requirements for the foundation?
Are crossing bars also required in a foundation of this type and, is so, are they laid out as radiused bars (rings) around the center point?
