Hello, everyone.

I'm an experienced 2D CAD user that has just begun learning AEC methods. Can you suggest a good book to me that goes over the basics? Or, maybe there's a site that offers some good tutorials? I'm particularly interested in using the Project Navigator, setting up detail sheets, as well as creating and maintaining AEC door and window schedules.

However, I'd really like something that goes over all the basics of doing things the AEC way. I'm currently using ACA 2008, but I'm not necessarily tied down to that version.

Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

amazon.com offers books from a number of authors. I am familiar with and can recommend Paul Aubin's ACA books; Mastering AutoCAD Architecture 2008 covers the release you are using, and provides an overview of the basics through a parallel series of tutorials (one residential, one commercial). Setting up projects through the Project Navigator is central to the tutorials. You may also want to search the forums here for other opinions on Paul's and other author's books.
