DWG convert to PDF?

Hello,

Version: AutoCAD 2006
Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard

I have been able to convert to PDF by printing to the Adobe PDF driver. But It give me limited control on file size (unless there is a setting I am unaware of). If my dwg is complicated file with hatches and images loaded then it is really difficult to keep the file under 1 mg.

Is there a better way to convert an AutoCAD (dwg) to PDF?

converting to pdf is always a matter of printing to a pdf printer. (pdf at its simplest is a digital version of a paper document)

You can try other pdf printers -- CutePDF is free and has worked well for me. There's also Bluebeam PDF which many people prefer. You can ensure that the pdf printer is not saving layer information, and look for a dpi setting - smaller dots per inch equals smaller files size. look for an Advanced settings button
