Hi everyone,
Is it possible to draw a 3d polyline in civil 3d straight from an excel spreadsheet (csv, space or comma delimited, txt, etc) automatically and whenever the values (x,y,z) of the spreadsheet change, the 3d polyline updates itself accordingly? I have already complete the first part of the 3d polyline and I now have a LISP routine which reads the coordinates from a txt file and constructs the 3d polyline. I would ideally like to connect (real-time) the 3d polyline with this txt file and whenever I change a value in the txt file the 3dpolyline will update itself automatically without any user input.
Can this be done? I don't have to have a txt file if this is a problem. I can have an excel spreadsheet or a csv, etc.
Any help is really appreciated!
Many thanks,
Petros
