Recently made the jump to 2011 from 2008 and noticed I can't drag a duct and connect it to another one like I could in previous versions. Is there a sysvar that controls this?

I'm starting to wonder if I've been using Revit too long (where you can drag to connect a duct). Anywho.....

Make sure that your ducts are aligned. Select the Modify Tab, and then the Align button (located just above the move arrow). You'll want to do this in the plan view, and also in a section view to make sure the ducts are aligned horizontally.
Normally ductwork is aligned using the center of the duct itself, but there are options to align the ducts via the top of bottom.
Hope this helps, and hope I'm messing you up any.

Does MEP 2011 have duct connectors you can turn on/off?
ABS07 had "ABS Connectors".
In 07 in order to get all the ABS connectors on I could type on the command line:
"AECBOSMODE" and set it equal to 1023 an that would turn all the duct and all the pipe connectors on.
I would also set "OSMODE" equal to 0 and it would turn off all of the osnaps that get in the way of the ABS connectors.
You might give that a whirl if you think it's that your connectors aren't "on" or that they may be getting overridden by osnaps.
