Clearance, Coverage, exc... Visibility & selection issues?

I am having issues with adding coverage plans to my families. The problem is that Even though these items may be hidden they are still selectable in view and effect tags, wires, exc. Right now I have the visibility of the coverage mapped to a yes no parameter but I also have them on their own subcategory. Hiding using either method doesn't seem to solve the issue. Any one know of any workarounds that may help with this?

Edit:
Seems I solved my own problem. It turns out that if you used nested detail families instead of detail lines the problem no longer occurs. Still a small issue with tags moving when the coverage is checked on but it moves back to its original location after the coverage is turned back off.
