Hay folks,
We are running into some saving problems. When we save a file in a particular folder on the server we get an error message reading Unable to save, saved file as..... I have checked user rights for the folder on both the local machine and the through the server, change and reset these seting with no joy. It appear to only happen in this one folder.
Some how this is linked to how AutoCAD is saving. As some of you are aware of, as a file is being written durning the saving process, the program creates a temp file, once the process is completed this file is deleted. In the folder in question the process is stopping before it completes the task leaving the temp file.
I have found some blogs that speak of a similar problem and the solution was with actural hardward. To troubleshoot this issue, we replaced network cables and changed ports on the hub. IP test good. Again no joy.
I have read some blog here post in 2005-06 with a similar problem. Has anyone seen this in 2011. If so, how did you get around it?
It is the problem that will not go away.... Any thoughts.
