Default Any Known Issues with Hatching?

using ACAD LT 2011; hatch command
Most computers meet min. requirements for using program.

Are there any known issues related to using the hatch command? If yes, how about solutions?

Problem: recent install of LT 2011 (downgrade from full version of ACAD) has left all users with delayed response from program when using the hatch (bhatch) command. In general the program seems to "hang" for 20-30 seconds before opening the command, and also when making revisions to existing hatches.

    any help is appreciated.

Default Re: Any Known Issues with Hatching?

Turn off the Hatch animation, just like full AutoCAD2011, and that should help speed up "minimum" spec PCs: the variable is HPQUICKPREVIEW. If you come to LT2011 from a lower version-number AutoCAD, also set HPDLGMODE variable to 1 to get back the old pop-up behavior in lieu of the Ribbon version.

if your PCs only meet the minimum, also explore turning ogg SHOWLAYERUSAGE variable, turn off SELECTIONCYCLING variable, and turn off (not hide) command and symbol Palettes.
