Default What is with 2012 Materials?

I am setting up my project to run a rendering for the first time in RAC 2012 and most materials are mapping correctly, except for when I want to use a paint color. The only option that comes with the software is "Paint". I want to change the color of this to blue. When I select blue from the color picker, the paint color does not change.

How am I supposed to use this blasted thing. I have spend an hour trying to change the darn paint color!!!

Unless it's changed from 2011, you should look in Wall Paint rather than just the Paint render section.

Also, notice that wall paint can be expanded to show Glossy and Matte folders with more options.
