    Default Construction Line Snap Issues

Not sure if anyone has experienced this, but every now and then I get this problem when I cant snap to the intersection of a construction line and another line, whether its a normal line, poly line or another construction line.

I'm having this problem atm while drawing up room elevations. My snaps are on (Endpoint, Midpoint, Center, Node, Quad, Intersection & Extension) and I had no problems yesterday or earlier today, like right after I finished one elevation I tried starting the next and this problem occurred.

Restarting the drawing and autocad haven't worked so I'm a little lost on what has happened.

Anyone have any advice or help I would really appreciate it

Wow, never even looked at that option, thanks! It was caused due to the lines being on a different z value.

Is there a fast way or even a few commands that will ensure all linework is on the same z value rather than changing the value through the properties menu?

Make sure OSNAPZ is set to 1 and ELEV is set to 0.

(but set OSNAPZ to 0 when/if you work in 3d)

I have tried the recommended solutions, but nothing seems to work for me either. My problem is that drawing a new line, or pline will not snap to any part of construction line. Any thoughts. I have togged all osnaps, checked the osnapz settings, and z plane values, but to no avail. Thanks

Are your "construction lines" a line, or polyline, or ray, or Xline, or something else?

Objects on layer DEFPOINTS are not select-able when layer 0 is frozen. Probably not your issue, but worth throwing out there.
