Default CAD (and other) Document Viewer

Can anyone recommend a document viewer that can read:
    AutoCAD dwg files,
    Microstation dgn files,
    Raster Tiff files and pdf,
The software must have a browse function and also and next and previous file option.
We currently use Autovue from oracle but due to bad support are looking at another alternative.

    Any recommendation, really appreciated.
    thanks

I didnt know there was any software out there that can view all of them.

If you want to view DWG files you can use DWG True View from Autodesk (See link)
    http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...&siteID=123112

Bentley also have a free viewer (See link)
    http://www.bentley.com/en-us/products/bentley+view/

Why not just use Adobe Reader for PDF's and any the viewers in windows can view tiff files.

    Wayne,

I'm going to move this from the AutoCAD General forum to this one, as I hope it will be better served here.

I am curious about any potential solutions as well.
AutoVue was in use here in my facility when I started, but, there were some problems at the time viewing our 3d content and some other small issues, so I made the choice to move to VoloView... which was killed off and we went with Bentley View, then once TrueView came around and had the capability to measure, I went with that.
However, there is a lot of confusion from some of the less technically savvy folks about how to open up various filetypes in different programs (I train them to navigate from windows explorer and double-click, but, then you still have folks opening up Acrobat or TrueView and trying to open other filetypes within them)... it never occurred to me to look for a program that would be able to open up such disparate filetypes.

We are using an SQL Database with True View and IE. We could use a solution to your problem too. The configuration I mentioned brings up limited file types. There is also a glitch between IE, SQL and True View. The issues disappeared when we switched to Mozilla FireFox, however, we are still limited on the types of files we can view.

Our issues have us on the hunt for document management software capable of viewing most image files and office files.

I too would appreciate any suggestions / recommendations.

The only place I've found 'universal viewers' that can handle CAD formats as well as most office & graphics files is with an EDMS package, so looking at a document management application sounds right.

Have you looked into Adpet, from Synergis software? They seem to be at least rationale on pricing, and adaptable to somebody with less than 5000 seats. And they care about CAD, something the Documentum level folks don't.

That’s the big problem here, all the different files types are stored in the same location and we have a lot of contractors coming through, some with little computer knowledge so training people to use different software for different file extensions is near impossible.

With Autovue, they could open the software, look in the plant drawing files open one drawing then keep selecting next file until see the drawing they wanted. They don't care if it’s a dwg, dgn, tif etc.

The latest version of the Autovue software does not appear to have the next file option.

I’ll look into the viewers mentioned by the other posters and let you all know if I find one.

    Thanks

We have used this for a while, Drawing Searcher, and seems to do the trick.
    http://www.docupoint.com
Full text search in the graphics as well as the attribute data in titleblock.
Also a right click in the thumbnail will open Design Review (if loaded) for marking up.

With a glance at the web page, the 1st question comes to me is who is willing to pay $9,995USD for the DrawingSearcher?
And a non-CAD user will never go for a paid license viewer.
