how can i connect wiring from a light switch on a wall to a lighting fixture on the ceiling?

sorry for this simple question but i cannot seem to connect wiring between the light switch on the wall and the lighting fixture on the ceiling because i can only see them in separate views (plan view and ceiling plan view)?

In the Ceiling View, try changing the Cut Plane (view Properties:View Range) to something like 4'. That should expose the switch.

Is the problem that you want to see both of these elements in the same view, or that you want to connect a wire between two elements in two separate views?

overlay the floor plan and the reflected ceiling plan on a sheet. Activate a view on the sheet and draw in the wire. You will be able to see both the floor plan and ceiling plan. Revit will snap the two views perfectly to each other on the sheet.
