Default Need help: Batch editing block with attributes

Doing some NPS work and the way they set up the drawings requires a sheet border on each file that is a block with editable attributes/text. On this project there are over a hundred separate files and one bit of text needs to be edited on each of the files. Surely someone out there has a script I could run that would open the file, edit that bit of text to a predefined value, save the file and close it out. I'm not interested in programming or writing LSP...just looking for a tool to save me an hour or two of extremely repetitive work.

Yay for NPS! have they updated their tools lately? We wrapped up some national seashore work a while back. fun stuff working with their DSC

but -- back on track. If you set up a sheet set, then you could use a custom sheet set property and a field in the attribute to keep the text updated. It won't save you any time for the first go-round, but will for the other times. May ask in the programming area - somebody could probably whip something up using ObjectDBX, since all the sheets will have the same attribute tags and locations.

I'm pretty much a sheet set n00b and have been constantly frustrated in my attempts to get it working...so I have no idea what your answer means.

I've recently added a batch script maker to my time tracking program CadTempo. You can easily create a script from a template that will run across all files in a folder. The 30 day free trial would give you ample time to get the job done, as well as many others.

You will want to be familiar with the script syntax you need.
