3D view Flips upside Down

What would cause a 3D view to flip upside down when I click on the ViewCube?

it could possibly be the keep scene upright in the viewcube options.

Unfortunately that did not fix it. When i choose the top view it automatically turns the view upside down.....very strange.

*PROBLEM SOLVED
It was the lock to selection setting that was causing the issue. I noticed a lock that appeared next to the view cube and clicked it and bam....fixed.
