A re-sizable room tag?

I don't think scaling is the problem. We should be able to pick the tag and grab a shape handle to adjust the length of the text box. I don't want to make the text taller, just control its width (word wrap) on an instance basis not via a type basis.

I agree, this is a great wishlist item.

Go to your room tag family, .
Get rid of a border drawn with lines if there is one.
Select the label for room name
Select to edit the type properties of the label.
Turn on the parameter "Show Border"
Save and reload

I believe that should read CTRL+Enter. This can only be done in the properties dialogue not the tag itself.

Yes you can control everything about it. You need to open the family and select the text and change its size, do a save as, Then as needed swap out the room tags for various size. We create multiple types within on tag, ie Wide with area and number, Narrow with area and number, etc. See attached.

How do you use your Abbreviation type? It wasn't editable when I loaded it in to the project.
