Default Newbie starting a real project

I'm about to start a real project, I've created some walls that I'll be using. I was hoping to start from ground up, but the site (as with most sites) is not exactly flat, with the street & footpath (sidewalk) falling approx 600mm (about 2') away. Do I use the slab tool to do all that, or what's the 'proper' way to do it? I'll need lots of help to start this, & hopefully I'll get it, thanks in advance.
Also, I have a masonry balustrade for an external stair, which means a slop- top wall. How do I do that? Thanks again.

You could use any 3D solid or surface. If you convert it to a mass element, then you can apply aca materials to it, e.g. grass. If you are having a survey done, they might create a surface for you or you could use the points to create your own.

Thanks Ed, it was the 'converting to mass element' part that I didn't know about.

If you have polylines representing your contours (and drawn at the correct relative elevations), then you can use the Drape tool (on the out-of-the-box Massing Tool palette) to generate a Mass Element.
