Default variable search: viewport scale auto zoom extents

I have been working in a lot of drawings and a large percentage of them have an annoying problem I've never ran into before. When I double-click over the viewport to check or modify the viwport scale, the double-clicking action not only activates the viewport, but it simultaneously zooms all objects to the extents of the viewport boundry. Because this is happening in some drawings and not in others, I am assuming there is a toggle or variable that turns it on or off. A quick search of the AutoCAD variable list did not produce anything that jumped out at me. Has anyone ran into this before and do you know which variable or fix will set it back?

    Hi, welcome to AUGI.
    Check UCSFOLLOW (= 0) and UCSVP (= 0) settings.

Thanks, I've actually been here for years...not sure what happened to my profile; seem to have lost my posting history.

Anyway, no combination of those variables changes this behavor.

If I am in paperspace and type MSPACE, it not only activates the viewport, but zooms everything contained in model space to maximize the viewport. Let me know if there are any other ideas.

Oh, I think I may have discovered the combination that works: looks like these variables are stored within each individual vieport (when modelspace is activated) - and you have to change them while inside the viewport for EACH one in the drawing. thanks for all who read or replied!

I'm glad you found it. I should have added "in each viewport".
