Default Move Plan Callout to New View

I have a callout to create an enlarged plan on my large scale floor plan view. The building this is in is too large to fit on the sheet, so there is a match line separating north and south. The room in the enlarged plan shows in both plans since it occurs at the match line. The callout is currently in the north wing plan, but I've changed my mind and want it to show in the south wing instead. Is there any way to move it? I thought about cut/paste, but i get a message that the view will be deleted. I'd rather not have to re-do the annotation, view templates, re-place on sheet, etc. For now, I have created a callout in the south wing set to reference other view, and hidden the callout in the north wing. I am not using dependent views in this case.

Could you create a new callout and cut-and-paste just the annotations (minus dimensions)? As for the view template, you can create a view template from the current view and apply it to the new view. Am I missing something that would make this approach more difficult?

No, you're not really missing anything. It would involve:
Making sure the new view is named the same as the original.
Placing it on the sheet in the same location.
Applying 2 view templates (one for the view type standard, and one to control linked models)
    Pasting annotation.

This is a simple enough view so it wouldn't be too difficult to recreate. My reason for asking is so that when this happens on an enlarged plan that is much more complex, I will have an answer. .-)

Nope. Just stuck with the reference other view for the south wing and hid the callout in the north wing. .-(
