Question Driving dimensional constraints with Excel?

    Hello to all:

I'm trying to help a fabric pattern-cutting company develop an interface by where they can enter (or import) values from an excel spreadsheet and have those values drive dimensional constraints in a drawing. The 'Dimensional Constraint Parameters" are just that, parameters, and there's gotta be a way I can bi-directionally link these parameters to an excel-style spreadsheet that would be easier for non-CAD-fluent people to manipulate, which would then spit out a nice, shiny drawing in AutoCAD. Anyone have any helpful insight into this? Thanks in advance for any informed replies!

Can you explain what it is that is going on between these 2 files? i see that the CAD file contains the data from the Excel File. But how are they set up in relation to eachother. How will a change on the Excel File update on the CAD file. Or am i misunderstanding what it is you are trying to demonstrait.

I am trying to do the same thing (i think). I have a CAD file that i want some dimensions to be controlled through an excel file, when the file is updated the Model will update to the corrisponding values.
