C3D 2012 Update 1 issue

After installing C3D 2012 update 1 I have lost the abillity to attach xrefs. The "attach" command does nothing. I have been through a list of items to try from Autodesk and one of the reseller and nothing has fixed it.
I have went so far as to do a clean uninstall, reinstall, xref works, install update and again can no longer attach an xref.
When I type or pick to attach nothing happens. I do recieve 2 errors during the update install which I had to ignore in order to install. See attached images.

I tested and found that none of the attach commands work.

Thanks for blazing that trail of fail for us Christian.

This is EXACTLY why I rarely instll the service packs unless I am having any of the specific issues they claim to fix; and even then I wait.

There are a couple of issue that not only myself but several users I support should be fixed by the update, however we all use xrefs all of the time.
I found if I change the sdi setting to 1 and use the very old xref manager I can attach items. I have to change this setting back to 0 or I can't open more than one drawing at a time.

All of those commands work for me except _externalreferences. The modeless xref dialog (XREF command w/ SDI=0) works as well.

Well the big quetion I have is:

Are those issues that should be resolved by intsalling the SP1, resolved?

And next question would be, what are those 'issues'?

The update does seem to add some stability to the software and some specific issues do seem to be resolved.
One users that has it installed said they would prefer to take the extra steps to attach xrefs, than to go back to crashing multiple times a day as they were before the update was installed.

I also installed the update on another computer that I have at home and I did not receive any errors, I have not checked to see if the attach commands work on this machine, which I will do this evening.
I starting to think there are security application issues that may be producing the errors while I'm in this particular office on their computers. The anti-virus was disabled during installation, but I know this company has additional security other than the McAfee running.
