    Default Colour Fill Schemes

    Good morning,

We’re currently embarking on our first revit project. For the first part of the project, we need to produce coloured plans which indicate our design intent.

I can quickly do these in AutoCAD, however, as this is our first revit project, I would quite like to produce them in revit,.

My question is, I have experimented with the colour fill legend / schemes, however these only seem to be a rigid way of producing schemes. I cannot seem to figure out how to produce custom schemes.

We need to produce plans which show heating types, vent strategies, required lighting levels etc.

For example, we need to produce a drawing showing the heating types within the building: i.e Red = Radiators within the room, Blue = Radiant Heating, Yellow = Under floor Heating.

How can I produce this using a REVIT Colour Scheme?

Add a parameter to the Space objects, such as HeatingType. Assign each Space then HeatingType = Radiator -or- Underfloor. Then you can use that parameter for your color schemes for Spaces.
No matter how much you adjust your View Range,
if you have to wear glasses, you will still need to wear glasses.

    Hi Dennis,

Thanks very much for your help - Sorry it's such an obvious question, I did this in my training class, but it was 10months a go and I haven't used it since!

I have now managed to do what I needed so thank you for your help.

Unfortunately the company I work for don't really understand the whole training and using the software constantly in order to get the most out of their money!

Thanks again - I'm sure I'll be back to ask more stupid questions!
