Post IFC Coordinates for ArchiCAD Collaboration

We've just started working with consultants who use ArchiCAD and send us IFC files.

So far, I understand that the workflow is as such:
    Open IFC file
    Save as Revit file
Import (currently using Origin to Origin)

When I tried updating the IFC link (translated to Revit) with a newer model, the building came in rotated and very far from it's location.

Have any of you dealt with IFC collaboration before and figured out the proper steps for importing and updating while keeping the coordinated intact? If so, please share the knowledge.

    In norweigan...

Run the Graphisoft IFC add-in after opening the .ifc if you are on R2011 or open the .ifc directly in R2012 with the add-in. I don't know if it solves your problem but it improves import in other areas.

    Be sure RA is updated.

The model should stay in place...unless Arch has moved it or there is bug somewhere.

    /M
