    Default Mega Project Question

Let's imagine an office building, a parking garage and an ice rink created as 3 Navisworks Projects, but as part of one job. Now each model has been coordinated with microsoft project and is set up using timeliner.

If I append an the 3 separate NWD's, will timeliner compile all the timeliner info to make a master animation that spans the entire project. (3 builds in one)

Sounds like time for an experiment.
Make copies and give it try.
Not sure which is appropriate here, Append or Merge.
Let us know how it comes out.

Did you create phasing in REVIT before pulling it into Navisworks?

This is from the NW help manual.

For files that contain TimeLiner data, merging is done as follows:

    • if two TimeLiner data sets are identical, all duplicate data is removed.

    • if two TimeLiner data sets contain the same Primary link, then the data set with the most recent link (that is, the newest file date) is chosen over the other. If the Primary links are different, then the data set with the highest number of tasks will be used, and links are re-attached wherever possible.

    • if two TimeLiner data sets are completely unrelated, no data merging is performed.
