    Unhappy Leader Text Shifting

If i add a leader with text that is left justified and then edit that text so that the distance between then end of the leader and the middle of the top line changes it actually moves the text instead of adjusting the length of the leader landing.
You'll notice in the attached picture that the note changes position in relation to the green vertical line.
Any ideas on why this would be happening, it's extremely annoying.

    Thank you in advanced,
    John Gray

Are you using MLEaders? QLeaders, or DIm Leaders?

As to _why_ it's happening, the text is associated with the leader, not vice-versa. The leader definition takes priority.

    Multileaders,

But even if the leader take priority if I'm creating a section and left justify all my text to line up and then adjust the verbiage the last thing i want to happen is for that paragraph of text to shift in and no longer be inline with all my other text.

How do i remedy this?? HELP

sorry, that's the way Adesk built it. MLeader, the text is dependent on the leader. Adjust the leader, text moves; edit text, text moves. you'll need to drag the text to align after editing to keep the neatly organized left aligned look. (Which, IMHO, is the correct way to present the information)

To avoid that manipulation, the only solution i know of it to use separately placed text, and separate leaders -- and that's much worse.

You can at least use MLEADERALIGN to get them to line up nicely with each other afterwards for minimal work.
