What graphics card are you using? I have a Nvidia Quadro FX 1700 that is less than stellar; but it hasn't displayed what you have in your picture...yet.

Will this problem be solved by closing all other programs running and restart Inventor?
Or you need to check if your RAM is less than 8GB
I have recently upgraded my ram from 8GB to 24GB.

Although more system RAM is always a good thing; I'm guessing the OP's problem is due to a lack of video RAM. I don't know how much video RAM the OP's Nvidia card has; but mine has a pathetic by today's standard 512MB. My system RAM is 4GB.

I'm debating on whether to get a new PC with 6 - 8GB of system RAM and at least 2GB of video RAM on an ATI card. If I do get a new PC, it will be just for graphics use. I'll continue to use my current 3-year PC for all my other computing needs.

I upgraded the Nvidia driver for my card to the latest version, and it made things worse as I started to get BSOD's. So I rolled it back.

Restarting system has no different affect.
See attached for sys. specs. Graphic card specs should be enough to run program.
My guess is the graphics card is pooched.

Important bit of information, the graphics issue only happens with assemblies.

Well you definitely have plenty of RAM, so I'm going to say the graphics card is crapola.

    Hi,
Does this happen with all assemblies?
Can you post any of the offending assemblies?

    Thanks for responding.

    Yes all assemblies.
Unfortunately I don't think company policy will allow me to upload an assembly.
But it could be simple or complex and the result is the same

Or create a new view of the same component on the same drawing.
Check if the new view is correct.
I think your existing views are "damaged".
