Default Issues with Fillets, snaps, dimnesion checks

I am having a few issues that are causing me major headaches in trying to produce some drawings. I am using ACA 2012 in Windows 7/64.

When I use the fillet command 90% of the time it will not work correctly. If I try to snap perpendicular to a line it shows the correct perpendicular symbol, but snaps to one side or the other creating an angled line (nearest is not checked in settings). Here's a real crazy one: when I go to check a distance with DI command it gives me a wrong dimension (I know what it should be and it's not even close). It's wrong by many FEET. When i draw a line 12", then identify it, it reads 3'-3 1/6".

I have taken the plan I am working on and inserted it into a new template without any help. I also inserted it into an old drawing that used to work just fine, and that did not help. I beginning to think it's the software and not any of my drawings.

I did an AutoCAD Repair through add/delete programs, and it did not help.

Has anyone else had any similar problems? I'm thinking I may have to reinstall the whole program. Not something i really want to do. (When trying to save my custom settings for the REPAIR it wrote a zip file that was invalid).

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have not had any problems like the ones you describe. Can you post the drawing?

Thanks for taking a look at this...here's the file. There are a few notes I made on the drawing so you can see more easily the issues. Thanks again.

Your problems are caused by entities have different z values.

Just great. Thanks you so much for looking at this. I'm new to ACA and not too familar with Z values. Do you know how to globally change them to 0? Once I can get them back to 0, i can figure it all out.

    Thanks again!
