    Default Laptop 2012 Civil 3d

I am looking at buying a laptop to do some contract work.... Of course to get started I need to get a budgeted version. I really dont know a whole lot about computers and I could look at the specs from Autodesk all day and not really understand it. Can anyone give me some direction please?

I'm running C3D 2012 reasonalby well on a(n) Acer Aspire TimelineX machine. 4830TG-6450
I like the small footprint because I travel to perform training a lot.
I has Windows 7, a 1GB Nvidia graphics card, and a Core i5 intel chip.
I upgraded the base RAM to 8GB.

It might be just about the most budget sensitive machine that will run moderate sized C3D projects without testing your patience too much or stressing your bank account.

i would make sure that your laptop is windows 7 64 bit, has 512 or higher video card, at least 6 gb of memory.

Tony, that minimum spec system would be a total dog for C3D on a daily basis.
