Default Quick select - object(s) not selected

I get the following message box quite often using 'Quick Select' in Map 3D 2011:

    " <##> object(s) not selected"

It happens as soon as I click the 'Quick Select' icon at the top right corner of the 'Properties' pallette.

Anyone have any idea about how to stop that?

    Thanks.

If there are Data Connect (FDO) features in the dwg that's normal. I know of no way to turn it off and just click OK.

    Thanks Murph,

This is a problem I have quite often when using Data Connect.
    I appreciate the help.
