Default Change line style / visibility based on Yes/No

    Hi All:

I'm creating a detail component family and would love to change the line style (from dashed to solid and vise versa) based on a Yes/No parameter.

This would allow me to have one detail component familiy for both sides of the product that I'm drawing, as the only difference between on side and the other would be a hidden line.

Thanks in advance for your help.

viz parameters are pretty simple. select the lines you want to add the parameter to. in the properties box next to the visible check box there is a tiny button to add a parameter to them. it should default to yes no type. then just give it a name, select instance or type and away you go.

good luck and welcome to AUGI.

    also.
if you have one viz parameter called say X.
and you want X to turn off when Y is checked.
in the formula behind X just put "NOT (Y)" (without quotes and parameters are case sensitive)

Is there a way to do this if the line in question defines the boundary of a filled region? For instance, if a checkbox is checked, one line of the boundary is squiqqly (as in a split face CMU block) and if unchecked, it is straight. But in both cases, ideally, the filled region would conform to whichever line is selected.
