Help with custom Elevation Marker

We created a custom elevation mark per our Client's standards. The sheet numbers are quite long and overlap the Elevation mark pointer which makes it difficult to read. We did the same thing for the section markers, but the text for the sheet name is masked where it overlaps the section mark pointer (which is what we'd like to achieve for the elevation marker). I'm assuming that this is happening because, unlike the section mark, the elevation tag is composed of two entities; the elevation mark (text) and the elevation mark pointer (arrow). Does anyone have any advice???

in the family editor, select that tag and edit the type properties, change the "background" property to opaque

The background has already been changed to opaque. If you go into the family editor, the tag appears to be correct. But once it is loaded into the project, the opacity disappears. Any other thoughts?

Try giving the text style a different name, and the loading it in. There is probably an instance of the text style (that is transparent) that is not being replaced when you load in the elevation marker that was changed to opaque.
