Hi Everybody

I imagine there must hve been requests like this one beforehand. However I am not capable to find them via the "advanced search" on AUGI. In general i find it quite difficult to search threads in AUGI - something to ameliorate.

Anyway, I was wondering what's the best way to import/insert 3ds files into Revit - with the idea of being able to use the "by face" tools of Revit. We are working in Revit 2012. So far my research has resulted in the following manner: transform 3d objects in 3ds into editable poly, export to dwg file, open in sketchup and then insert the SKP file into Revit. I have had a go on this in Revit 2010 and it didn't really work ... (unable to apply the by face tools). Now, wouldn't there be a more direct way in one direct step ???

Thanks for any comments

Best Regards

Walter
