Question Exporting from Revit to AutoCAD - layer properties

I am facing an issue in exporting to CAD from Revit. I am linked a CAD Mechanical base file to Revit MEP 2012. And I created the Sheet file in Revit MEP 2012 and now trying to export it to Autocad format. But I am not geting the proper CAD layers and the colour properties as it is. It is changing the colours and layers to different one. How can I rectify this. Kindly help. Thank you in advance.

This post should have been put in the REVIT forums not the "New Forum Users (non technical)" which is reserved to "test out" a question to see how it work etc.

    But anywho..
I believe you can map layers and colors when exporting to AutoCAD, but I don't quite know how to do that yet. Maybe someone else can give you better information on that.

The quick and easy solution for you (I think) would be to translate the layers in your exported AutoCAD files to known ones you have in a standards or template file.

Look into the LAYTRANS command, it works great for this type of thing. Force everything ByLayer and on the proper layers.
