Wink Shared parameters in Generic Annotation

I would like to use a shared parameter in a Generic Annotation family.

We use a Hello/Goodbye sheet on our projects to make things easier to locate and to have a faster shutdown and load time. I would like to populate some project information automatically into the annotation from the project information button on the settings pane under the manage tab of the ribbon.

When I place a label in the generic annotation family, the shared parameter is ghosted out. Does anyone know a work around?

    Any help is appreciated.
I know enough to be dangerous.

An alternative, use a sheet view as your starting view instead. Create a special title block family for that view. You can put all sorts of parameters in that instead.
