    Default Global project parameter values?

I don’t really know how to begin, so I’ll just dive right into exactly what I’m trying to do. I’m a design engineer and my company is beginning to use Revit MEP quite a bit at this point. On many projects, we’re required to provide an estimated construction cost along with our design. I’d like to expand on using Revit to assist me with this. One parameter that factors into my cost estimate is the prevailing wage for various tradesmen. Instead of hard coding this parameter into every single family I’ve created (and changing it every year or so) I was wondering if there is a way to store that value “globally” such that every family I load into a project can reference that value. I’ve looked into lookup tables and I don’t thinks that will work. I’ve also looked into the project parameters and project information, but I don’t think the answer is there either. Perhaps there isn’t a convenient way to handle this, but I thought I’d throw it out there. Thanks,

Unfortunately there is no way to create a global parameter the way you want to use it.
How about adding the trade assignment as a parameter to the object categories that you normally schedule and track for costing. You can then use a schedule key to change the cost based on the trade assignment.
