    Unhappy selectsimilar command?

I am working again after 4 years of being laid off. I last used Architecture 2008, now I am using AutoCAD LT 2008. There are so many commands I can't find or use.

Is there any way to do a select similar type of command. I used to type <control> A for select similar, I think.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, that was not added to vanilla autocad until release 2011 (having been native to AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD MAP, etc before then).

    ~nodding~ Not a problem.
It was one of my most-used commands, and I was absolutely gutted when Autodesk removed it from Map3D 2007. If your company wasn't using LT, there'd be lisp routines that could replicate that functionality, but, it sounds like you're out of luck on that particular command for now.

Explore using QSELECT or FILTER commands to "select similar" in LT2008 (and LT2012, and all in between and before to boot).

Thank you for the suggestion but I can't find any way for it to work. It only seems to work with a block and text sometimes.
