I have recently purchased the Revit Content 'All in One Bi-Fold and Sliding Door' Family. Does anyone know how to make a simple sliding door from it - without having pockets in the walls?

I'm not familiar with the package so I don't know if there are options for that. I'd suggest you contact the folks you bought it from.

I wanted a sliding door, so I saved off a regular door, deleted the panel, drafted in a sliding panel, and gave it the width parameter for the previous panel. Works a treat.
Are you talking about a sliding door hanging off a wall or one that is embedded in the wall?
