Cannot undo hide

I'm working on an elevation. I hide an object using the eyelass icon so I can work behind it. Later I hide another object in the same view in the same way. When I try to unhide the two objects, only one restores. What's up?

You didn't accidentally chose the Apply changes to view option at some point? I've done that a couple times while in a rush and ended up wondering the same thing. Do you see the missing element(s) if you use the Reveal Hidden Elements feature (light bulb near the sunglasses). If so then you did...

The lightbulb worked. The hidden elements were visible and a click brought up 'unhide in view'

Got scared for a minute.........
