Thread: Problem with Properties Palette

    Default Problem with Properties Palette

I'm having an issue with my properties tool palette where when I click on an object the properties manager does not acknowledge it and acts as though nothing is selected. All of the regular commands act as normal but I have no way to quickly edit entities. Anyone seen this before? I thought maybe there is a on/off variable that might have gotten switched off but I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does it do that with all objects or just a certain one? Is the object you are selecting an object from a non-autodesk program or a native acad object, e.g. line, circle, etc? Does the object remain selected? At the top of the Properties palette is a box that shows how many objects are selected. Does it remain at 0 count?

It shows nothing in the pulldown portion of the palette. The rest of the palette looks the way it does when nothing is selected. All objects appear to be affected and all other commands seem to work normally.

Do you mean "nothing", the palette is not displaying properly or just no data? Also, was it working previously or did it just quit recently? If the latter, what changes have you made to your pc? ...updates, removal, etc. Registry cleaners are notorious for breaking acad stuff. You might want to try a repair of C3D.

The image below is what the properties palette looks like. Objects are selected but do not show up in order to edit them. The pull down portion of the palette that normally allows the user to separate different types of entities is entirely empty. No registry cleaner has been used but Bentley Projectwise was installed recently and may be the culprit.

Did you find the fix? We are having the same issue and just installed Bentley Projectwise.
