Question Graphics cards for Windows 7

Has anyone had anyexperience with the new AMD Firefox graphics cards? With our upgrade to Lenovo computers with Windows 7 64 bit the standrad card would be either the Nvidia Quadro 4000 or 5000. I have heard from our IT people that the 4000 is having problems with overheating. We would prefer the 5000, but IT is also asking us to look into the AMD Firefox 7900. They are suppose to be equal, but with the AMD being cheaper. Cheaper is not always better, but I am being asked to compare. Some sites are showing them as being pretty equal, but I have not heard from any actual users. Has anyone actually compared them?

I've been using the Nvidia Quadro 3000M in my Dell Precision M6600 Notebook, Intel i7 Processor, 16GB RAM, Windows 7 64-Bit for months without any issue. I cannot imagine why the 4000, 5000 would present a potential issue.

    I use Land Desktop 2009, Civil 3D 2011, Map 3D 2011, Civil 3D 2012, and Raster Design for all.

I stand by AMD's graphics cards to the fullest. Also the AMD Firepro V7900 has proven to crush the Quadro 4000 in benchmarks.
