    Default Know your Family Templates...

    Below are a list of recommendations on which type of Template to use when developing 3D Component RFA's

    Always use Work Plane based or Line Based based templates as required when starting new Families with the following exceptions

    Doors and Windows: Wall based
    Roof Hatchs: Roof based
    Curtain Panels (Doors & Windows,etc): Curtain Wall
    Electrical Equipment, Devices & Lights: Face based
    Plumbing Fixtures & Sprinklers: Face based
    Air Terminals & Mechanical Equipment: Face based
    Structural Trusses: Structural Trusses

    CAUTION: When the Category of an MEP Family is changed, it might cause the following issues:

    Families that were previously connected to a System or Circuit might become disconnected
    You might not be able to Connect to Systems or Circuits
    You might not be able to compute Space calculations for the Family
